Unforgettable Time with Children in Haiti

Categories: Uncategorized @en

We held a children’s camp for a few days. On the last day, there were 600.

This camp was one of the best we have had and it was organized by our dynamic Sunday School team.

Fuel Shortage

The fuel shortage has been going on for months.  Some say it is artificial or provoked to destabilize the country.  We need to save as much as possible what is in the vehicle’s tank.  Asou went to refuel, and he had to sleep in the car at the station.  It took 24 hours to refuel as the lines are so long!

CCP Sponsorship Program

Due to the high cost of living and the closure of many schools due to gang violence, we received more than 400 applications for enrolment this year. We are making efforts to accommodate as many of them as possible.  Please pray that God will help us so that we will find new sponsors. This year we will have about 700 students at the school.  Twenty seven Grade 13 students graduated. The only parent who came to thank us was the sorcerer who lives in our neighborhood. He even talked about God.

Every year there is a soccer tournament on the street in front of our house, followed by a disco. Every year, the tournament manager insulted us at the microphone for no reason.  But this year he told me that he converted.  His music no longer made the walls of our house shake and he even played Christian music during the discotheque. 😊

Fifteen houses were delivered in southern Haiti. There are five others left.  Two were joined to each other to make a church.

I (Louise) returned to Haiti on August 3rd. I was warmly welcomed, (without flowers), but the bougainvillea in our garden are laden with flowers.  The return to blackout in the heat of 39°C… Whew!!  Thank God there is a lot of rain and if the current is scarce, at least there is water to cool off.

Pray with us for a breakthrough into the realm of darkness.  Thank you for your donations and prayers.
